General policies and frequently asked questions

  • Regretfully we are unable to accommodate a fully vegan/gluten-free/dairy-free Tasting Menu. There will always be a vegan option available a la carte in person.

  • Please plan to arrive promptly at the designated ticket time. Check-in is at the service window of our kitchen located behind Pen Druid Brewing and farm. Sip from the brewery’s selection and soak up the panoramic views while your meal is plated.

  • While we aim to provide a casual fine dining experience, we are not a brick and mortar restaurant. Tickets are for the menu and guests will be self-seated. Dine inside the brewery’s taproom, on the covered patio, or at picnic tables located in a field on the permaculture farm— all with gorgeous mountain views.

Seats at the private Sunday Chef’s Table will soon become available starting Memorial Day.

  • Each ticket is for one individual Tasting Menu. Two tickets is recommended for two guests, and so forth.

  • For parties larger than four, please reach out to info.sumacva@gmail.com for assistance making a reservation.

  • If you need to modify or cancel your reservation, please contact info.sumcva@gmail.com for assistance. You may adjust the arrival time up to 24 hours in advance. Cancellations can be accommodated more than 2-days in advance. In 48 hours or less, the tickets are non-refundable. Thanks for understanding.

  • The online ticket price reflects our 20% service charge. In person, there will be a 20% line item + 9.3% tax (Virginia and Rappahannock County food/lodging taxes) added to the bill. If you should wish to tip on top of this amount, you may do so in person.

  • Pen Druid is wood-fired, spontaneous, barrel-fermented & coolshipped native beer, natural cider and wine. The brewery rests on 27-acres of a permaculture farm where you can walk the Sperryville River trail, a 1.5 mile path connects the brewery to the historic downtown Sperryville.

The location is family friendly and dog-friendly to leashed, friendly dogs. Learn more about the brews at pendruid.com.
