Menu Collaborative with Little Sesame

Little Sesame is making a Summer of Hummus Road Trip stop at New York Time’s 50 best Sumac, located in Sperryville on the foothills of the Shenandoah National Park. Join us on a celebration of good food, seasonal flavors, and the beautiful outdoors the Saturday of the summer solstice.

 

On Saturday, June 21st Chefs Nick Wiseman and Ronen Tenne of Little Sesame will join forces with the Sumac Team to create a special collaborative menu. Reserve your spot for this special Tasting Menu — one day only.

Tickets are for the chef’s prix fixe Tasting Menu. A la carte orders will be available first come, first served basis. Reserve your spot now. Ticket sales end on 6/18/25 at 10 PM.

 

Celebrate the Summer Solstice at PARTY WITH FRIENDS hosted by Pen Druid Brewing. Enjoy bluegrass music from The Fly Birds. Special collaborative menu with Sumac and Little Sesame. Drink pairings from Pen Druid. Gelato from Dolcezza. Join us for a fun celebration on June 21st.

In the evening, the film premiere of Catching Pinecones will be shown at 7:30pm in the Taproom. Directed by Chadd Heddleston, this documentary shares the story of Jan and Herb Conn, a climbing couple who pioneered the sport in the early-mid 20th century. The film is supported by a grant from VA Public Television and PBS.

Join us for a celebration of the season and the end of our season with a grand meal! The final menu of our season is the Feast of the Seven Fishes. Inspired by Chef Daniel Gleason’s Italian American roots, this special prix fixe menu showcases the seven fishes over seven-courses prepared and served from our wood fired kitchen.

Gather outside around a yuletide bonfire. Taproom seating is available indoors. Beer and wine pairings available from the brewers.

On Saturday, October 26th Pen Druid will host the annual END OF OKTOBERFEST fall celebration with a beer release, guest brewers, and annual pig roast. Sumac will serve the pig roast and a menu A la carte. This is a non-ticketed event. Guest brewers The Veil Brewing, Patois Wine, Domestique Wine, Veditz Brewing, Hopkins Ordinary plus ice cream from Sugar Bear Cville. The brewery will be open until 7pm. Sumac will be open until 6pm or sold out so come early!

Oktoberfest is when our beautiful community comes together to celebrate the end of the harvest season and the onset of cooler weather. Participatns will include Hopskins Ordinary Brewing, Veditz Brewing, Patois Wild Harvested Cider, Apple-atcha Cider, Domestique Wine, Flourishroot Flowers, and more! Live Music TBD.

This is a non-ticketed event. Sumac will be open on Friday for a la carte orders and closed this Sunday.

A Sunday Afternoon | Bar Clavel, DJ Sets hosted by Pen Druid

Pen Druid is hosting Bar Clavel, Mezcaleria and two-time James Beard Award Finalist for “Outstanding Bar” located in Baltimore, MD for drink specials, plus Bichi Mexican Natural Wines and DJ sets by Idle Hour, Baltimore’s “Best Sounding Corner Bar” inside the taproom. Delicious pairings available from Sumac.

SATYRTDAY LAGER & GOAST ROAST

Pen Druid will release its collaborative beer, the Druid Lager brewed together with Brussels new wave brewery Brasserie de la Senne. Come out for the beer release and first ever tap takeover over Labor Day Weekend! Taste crispy lagers from friends at Blue Jacket DC, Mahrs Bräu, Live Oak Brewing, Oxbow Beer, Schenker Beer, Schoenramer, and The Veil Brewing.

Sumac is preparing a celebratory menu and Goat Roast. This is a non-ticketed event. Come hungry!

Sumac will be open with regular hours Friday-Sunday the holiday weekend. No Tasting Menu this weekend, however, visit us for a la carte orders! Weekend Menu Post forthcoming.
